The House of Arts Veszprém considers the visual arts education of the young generation as its main mission. Our aim is to promote, facilitate and make people understand contemporary art.

At the same time, we want to shape a future audience and community that loves and understands art.  Our group sessions are always planned around a current exhibition. Our classes are tailored to the specific age of the group. Through creative and fun processes, in addition to art education, we develop and strengthen specific areas such as: seriality, association, communication, creativity and concentration. We welcome groups from preschool age up to young adulthood.  In a truly unique and atmospheric historical environment children can create and learn freely in a playful environment.   We are looking forward to broadening students' knowledge of art and introducing them to the world's leading contemporary art movements and artists, thus fostering their interest in art.

THE LITTLE FOX'S ADVENTURES in the gallery (treasure hunt and kaleidoscope)
Ages: pre-school (3-7 years)
Duration: 60 minutes
Once upon a time there was a little fox who wanted to look for his parents and brothers who went to Uncle Badger's house to harvest the grapes, but got lost on his adventurous journey. He ended up in Veszprém Castle in the gallery of a master shoemaker who collected paintings and sculptures. Here he saw many wonderful, colourful and interesting pictures. There he met some kindergarten children who helped him to make a nice kaleidoscope, through which he could easily find his way to Uncle Badger and see many wonderful colours and shapes.

THE BEST OF THE COLLECTION
Age group: primary school pupils (6-11 years)
Duration: 90 minutes
Ervin Lazar's two inkblots, blue and yellow, fight with each other until, in a big tug-of-war, they mix and become one green colour. We continue to play and experiment with these stubborn colours. We get a glimpse into the fabulous and exciting world of colour. We'll make a Bauhaus spinning top, where the colours mix together in a fun way. Then, based on Nathan Cohen's work Cyclic Shape, we'll continue playing with colours and make a Jack Straws with the children, where blue and yellow reappear as two separate colours.

"PLAY BECOMES PLEASURE, PLEASURE BECOMES WORK, WORK BECOMES PLAY." JOHANNES HERE
Ages: upper and middle school (12-18 years)
Duration: 90 minutes
What are colours really? How are they made up? How can they affect our everyday lives? What do they tell us about ourselves? How do we mix them?  What colours should we wear? What colours do contemporary painters use and why? All these questions are answered through the research of painter and Bauhaus educator Johannes Itten. We will create games of skill and logic reflecting on the works in the exhibition.
