In June, we will continue our weekly event series highlighting the importance of environmental awareness and sustainability. The June events begin at 5:00 pm and will take place at the Dubniczay Palace, 29 Vár Street, Veszprém.

03 June – The Flavours of Life

Join us for an evening celebrating the meeting of food and culture at The Flavours of Life, a gastronomic and cultural event inspired by the Helen Mirren film The Hundred-Foot Journey. On this occasion, we will evoke the atmosphere of a small town in southern France, where the elegance of French cuisine and the vibrant, spice-filled world of Indian gastronomy come together in perfect harmony.

Throughout the evening, authentic dishes, aromas and flavours connected to the story will take centre stage. Through traditional Indian specialities, classic French dishes and exciting culinary pairings, we will explore how two distinct cultures can connect through food. The programme will also feature fascinating cultural insights, offering a unique experience for everyone with an interest in gastronomy and world cultures.

10 June – Southern France / Camargue

The latest event in our Gastronomic Memories series will feature a presentation by Bernadett Grászli, introducing the unique region of Camargue in southern France. Situated along the Petit Rhône, this remarkable landscape has preserved its distinctive culinary heritage for centuries. We will discover the world of the famous Camargue salt products, as well as the region’s special varieties of rice and their role in local cuisine. The evening will provide an insight into the Mediterranean way of life and the rich flavours of southern France, shaped by the close relationship between nature and culinary traditions. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample a refreshing summer drink made from anise-flavoured spirit – the iconic pastis. An evening where personal stories and authentic flavours transport us to the sun-drenched landscapes of Camargue.
