Generations Together – BotanicArt – Oasis Gastro Club

St Michael’s Day marks an important turning point in the agricultural year: the time of the autumn reckoning and harvest, and a traditional celebration for shepherds. During our session, we will evoke traditional shepherds’ dishes prepared in a cauldron, such as shepherd’s egg barley.

The period around St Michael’s Day was also traditionally the season for autumn weddings, when richer and more special dishes were served at communal celebrations. We will learn about the Hungarian term “kisfarsang” (Little Carnival), referring to this period of autumn festivities.

St Michael’s Day is therefore not merely a calendar milestone, but also a meeting point for autumn flavours and communal celebrations.

One of the main sections of the exhibition consists of the series entitled “Random Structures”, which has been created since 2013 and uses grids, diagonals and geometric forms to present metaphors of perception.
