The images create a meditative, almost sensual space of transition, in which the viewer becomes an active participant and an observer of their own perception. Approaching the work through photography, we arrive at the questions raised by Yves Bonnefoy’s theory of the image: can there be poetry in photography? Where is the human being behind the images they create? And what, after all, is reality? Rather than conveying information, these sensory images communicate impressions, opening doors towards ourselves.
Photographer and therapist Kata Varju has spent 25 years exploring the mysteries of the human psyche. The exhibition offers us a glimpse into this journey, condensed into a single space.
