Shine on!

Years of preparatory work, followed by numerous programmes and joint work with regional actors, have resulted in a creative-cultural community that goes beyond a single year. The ECoC programme has become a breeding ground, an inspiration and an ever-expanding framework for the cultural life of Veszprém and the Bakony-Balaton region, for the daily lives of its inhabitants and visitors, and as such has not only played a decisive role in the past, but also has an impact on the present and the future, for all of us.

This impulse is captured and explored in an exciting, creative and entertaining way in the exhibition "Shine on! - Two Thousand and Twenty-Three European Creative Regions of Culture: Memories of a Season, the Future of a Region", where through installations by collaborating artists, personal stories of the participants and exciting behind-the-scenes secrets, we can map the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme from its beginnings until now. 

The "two thousand and twenty-three Shine on!" exhibition will be open from 22 June to 25 August.
