The exhibition followed the organisational principles of Documenta 4 in Kassel in 1968. The director wanted to present the best works of the avantgarde artists of the time through a qualitative selection. It could not be considered a classic group exhibition, because the selection covered almost all the progressive movements of the time and its composition did not follow the stylistic unity.
Our exhibition is not a reconstruction but rather an attempt to evoke a mood with works representative of the Iparterv exhibition and those that were only catalogued.
