Dezső Szabó Volcano Lab

For the first time, we will look at Dezső Szabó's Volcano: a photographic tableau of a type of disaster painting, the world of volcanoes. The special feature of the exhibition is that, in addition to old book rarities and 19th century paintings by Miklós Barabás and Károly Kisfaludy, it also presents contemporary volcano-themed artworks from the last 20 years, creating a link between the art of the past and mediatised visual culture.
