The simplicity of the twenty-eight prose works can move those who read them. It can be an atmospheric and light read for all.

The author is a retired school principal. He lives in Nemeshany. He is a regular contributor to the Castle Ucca Workshop. In his book of short stories and prose he introduces us to the world of fairy tales. The ideal Hungarian village. Where the storyteller presents the tranquillity, the serenity, the charm of everyday life in a small village through the life of the school. Children, young people, parents and the elderly search for and find the joys of their lives in the little stories on the pages of the book.

István Réthy is from Transylvania. From there he came to Transdanubia and spent decades as a teacher in the motherland. His prose is characterised by traditional formal devices. With inexhaustible storytelling he tells us how he sees the world: he observes, but we can also read his opinions about the people and communities around us, provided that we are looking for each other and we might even find the other one.
