This year is unusual in more ways than one: at the beginning of March 2024, the Dubniczay Palace will host the two thousand twenty-three/ best of exhibition, which focuses on both neo-avant-garde and contemporary art, as well as on the relationship between the artistic tradition and design in the region and will showcase the most important projects of 2023. This exhibition is complemented by the Veszprém Spring Exhibition, which this year will present a selection of works by nearly 80 contemporary artists from the creative region linked to the European Capital of Culture year. In this spirit, this year we have invited artists to submit works that reflect in some way on the year 2023.
Every year, the opening of the Spring Exhibition is also about joyful personal encounters. This year, as in previous years, the opening ceremony was followed by an awards ceremony.
