Through the work of seven young female photographers, the exhibition explores the female body, including its biological and social, as well as its future post- and non-human aspects.

Launched in 2019, Fototaxis is a series of exhibitions, the second of which will be held this year, and will present every two years some of the most characteristic segments of the young generation of contemporary photographers. This year's selection features women artists who are specifically concerned with the female body, its representation, biological and social, and its perception.

The exhibiting artists are Kincső Bede, Krisztina Bilák, Anna Kis-Kéry, Éva Szombat, Zsuzsi Simon, Eszter Lázár, Iza Nagy.

In Kincső Bede's works the socialization of the female body takes place in individual narratives. In her latest works, never before shown, personal family stories come to life.

In her exhibited works Krisztina Bilák gives a kind of analytical view of the body. Using a variety of media and including installative elements her work creates special and enigmatic visual spectacles in which the human body is the protagonist.

Anna Kis-Kéry's nude photos show women's bodies through the female gaze, rearrange and examine socially agreed ideal body images.

Éva Szombat's selection of images from Robert Capa's iconic project, "I want an orgasm, not a rose...", mainly features still lifes, as well as an installation where the photo book of the same name can be viewed.

Simon Zsuzsi's large-scale prints show various female body hairs and transform them into shiny, ornate, camp-like body jewelry.

Eszter Lázár's plexiglass objects were created by radically transforming sexual aids. The aids used are functional objects, which even originally hardly resemble genitalia. After further transformations, the completed works can be interpreted as a kind of postgenital monuments.

Iza Nagy's works deal with the future hybridization of the human body and other biological organizations, the crossing of species of different origins. The post-body possibilities of the body are investigated through photographic speculative vision.
