The latest exhibition at the Modern Art Gallery presents an unusual temporary exhibition of the internationally important Hungarian private collection. The title of the exhibition, a quote borrowed from the Swiss painter Richard Paul-Lohse, is a visual definition of the common point of the latest selection of the collection. The aim of the exhibition is to present the most important European-connected artists in constructivist and concrete art, highlighting the great masters of Swiss concrete art, the specific world of sculptural drawings and artists who experimented with re-thinking theories of colour. The upstairs exhibition space features works by Johannes Itten, known from the world-famous Bauhaus school, as well as Jenő Barcsay, Tihamér Gyarmathy, Sean Scully and István Haász.

In conjunction with the exhibition, a new art education programme and workshop series will be launched in September, introducing generations to the exciting world of non-figurative art through the interplay of play, creation and learning.

The exhibition is supported by VEB2023 Veszprém-Balaton European Capital of Culture.
