Graphic artist and photographer Ferenc Ládonyi accompanied the art therapy sessions for the residents of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service's Adoption House with his camera, and now he gives the public an insight into this creative world with its special atmosphere through the photographs taken here. It has been a life-changing experience for him to follow how these people in difficult circumstances have opened up through art, how the initially drab and gloomy works of art have become more and more colourful over time, reflecting the thoughts and emotional state of the participants.

The project "Finding Home in Art", supported by Veszprém-Balaton 2023 Ltd. and implemented by Finart Design Ltd., gives homeless people who are marginalized in society the opportunity to express their uniqueness through art and to show their specialness at exhibitions. The people living in the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service's House of Inclusion took part in 15 art therapy sessions led by Ágnes Quirin, graphic artist and art therapist, on a weekly basis from January 2023. The aim of the project is to use the healing power of art as a resource for the people living in the House of Inclusion, and through an exhibition linked to the European Capital of Culture events, to give the majority of the population the opportunity to discover the hidden values of artists from difficult backgrounds.

The project, supported by the ECoC 2023, will also contribute to social inclusion by reducing prejudices through art and through knowledge.
