The literary historian, who knew Dezső Kosztolányi's oeuvre intimately, published this volume in the years before the major monograph on the famous Nyugat journal author.

Zsuzsanna Arany wanted to avoid that in connection with her only Kosztolányi would come into mind of her audience, so she also deals with Ady and Kálmán Harsányi in a study.

In her series on Kosztolányi the literary scholar also deals here, in addition to more general theoretical questions, with the less well-known periods of Kornél Esti's life, which have not yet been properly placed in history and this makes the book a really exciting read. It is an excursion into the field of comparative literary history, as well as a challenge to explore the problems that particularly and recurrently fascinated Kosztolányi.

The volume may also be an exciting read for those who read about this poet and writer of epochal importance in the 20th century, not necessarily only for professional reasons.
