Jenő Gutheil, Dezső Laczkó, Jenő Cholnoky are iconic figures of Veszprém between the two wars. Their scientific work is exemplary to this day. We must show our respect for them from time to time. The city community intended the reprint of Jenő Gutheil's writing on the age of St. Imre to be such a sign. The original of the faximile booklet was published in 1930.

In its design and typography, it bears the characteristics of the time: as far as the technical possibilities of the printing house allowed, the original form was preserved - obviously the textual content was not compromised in any way. For those who did not have the booklets that were out of print at the time, it was possible to replace them.

As a recommendation, here are a few lines from the introduction:

" ... the city of Veszprém lived its heyday in the time of the first holy king and his house, the Árpáds. The city itself is the city and seat of the queens, the object of their constant care, enriched by privileges and frequent donations, unique in the country. Within its walls are the richest sources of national culture: the country's first women's educational institutions and the first college in Hungary, which flourished so much that in 1276, Laszlo IV put it on a par with the University of Paris. The richness of its libraries and the scientific spirit among its clergy outstripped all the cities of the country..."
