The *Mirror – Face to Face* exhibition series, now being held for the eleventh time, has become a renowned and respected international event in the field of contemporary graphic art.

Over the years, alongside the consistent presence of Italian participants, numerous international artists have also showcased their work in Vicenza, representing the most important currents in contemporary graphic art.

This year, Hungary is the featured guest — a country whose history is interwoven with Italian cultural and artistic life in many ways. Mirror – Face to Face thus becomes a meeting of old friends in a Europe that, at the dawn of the digital age and artificial intelligence, seeks to redefine itself.

Under the curatorship of Szonja Dohnál, 27 Hungarian artists (in collaboration with the Ajka Graphic Workshop and Tibor Csabai), and under the curatorship of Valeria Bertesina and Roberto Nassi, 27 Italian artists engage in an artistic dialogue. The exhibition aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of contemporary graphic art. It offers insight into the world of creative studios, presents sources of inspiration and favored techniques, and strikes a balance between tradition and experimentation. This artistic project also creates an opportunity to foster dialogue between artists from the two countries.

Visitors can explore the artworks through a kaleidoscope of subjective perspectives. They may discover shared elements, dialogues, and overlaps that transcend individual and national characteristics—whether through symbolic references, abstract or figurative styles, multimedia approaches, or the meticulous use of traditional techniques. With no thematic or technical restrictions, the exhibition offers space for free artistic expression and for technical combinations that transcend the boundaries of graphic art.

The exhibition can be viewed at two locations: the Palladian Villa Caldogno (Caldogno, Vicenza) and the Dubniczay Palace (House of Arts Veszprém) near Lake Balaton. In October, the exhibition series continues in Hungary at the Ajka Cultural Center.
