The mission of the House of Arts Veszprém is to present the values and novelties of contemporary art and culture, to introduce them to the public, to the "users" of the institution.
The professional staff of our institution, with the support of the Erasmus+ grant, will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the complex artistic work of Matadero, Madrid, which has been awarded several prizes over the years.

Our successful ERASMUS+ application is implemented

Future Lab / Media Lab

Our long-term plan is to implement our Future Lab / Media Lab project, a space open to the public where very different forms of knowledge and practice can meet. It will ensure continuity in the transmission of knowledge and mobility. We conceive innovation based on the collaboration of citizens living in Veszprém and its surroundings as a process that explores solutions to social problems through technologies (analogue, digital, intermediate) and innovative methodologies, involving the community concerned.

For a successful implementation, 4 staff members from the House of Arts Veszprém will visit Matadero, a highly experienced institution in Madrid, in early October 2021. The study of the structure, artistic programmes, communication and teaching methods of this highly complex institution, which has been operating successfully for many years, will greatly facilitate the implementation of the project in Veszprém. The project will create new communities and a more open society at local level, receptive to contemporary art and able to acquire essential digital competences.
