Light - Shadow / museum educational activity
Exhibition: / Small and big / Exhibition by Károly Klimó
"Light gives shape to everything". "The shadow is the dream of light." At the same time without darkness there would be no light. What is the role of light in our lives?
Perhaps the first two quoted sentences are a faithful summary of everything that captured Károly Klimó in Axel Matthes' essay titled Landscape in Illumination. The inspiration was so strong that the writing gave rise to collages, which are now on display here at the Modern Gallery - László Vass Collection. In the first part of the museum education session we will get to know the exhibited works and discuss their impact on us. In the second part through creative work we can express what darkness and light, light and shadow mean to us.

Location:
House of Arts Veszprém / Modern Gallery - László Vass Collection
3-7 Vár Street, Veszprém.
Recommended age: from 6 years
The museum educational activity is based on the exhibition "Small and Big" by Károly Klimó, and on the works of art exhibited in the Modern Gallery - László Vass Collection.

Constellations / museum education activity
Exhibition: / MOVEMENT - Movement in space
Tamás Lossonczy's painting, although fundamentally based on dots and the lines that connect them reveals a light, playful world. Constellations? Children's drawings or paintings? It doesn't really matter. What mood do these works evoke? The main thing is the joy of free creation, drawing and painting with your own hand, this is the essence of these paintings. Let's start with the point and the line as two basic elements and let's not forget colour, thirdly! Then let's see, let's try and see where we get to during this playful "journey"?

Location:
House of Arts Veszprém / Modern Gallery - László Vass Collection
3-7 Vár Street, Veszprém.
Recommended age: from 6 years

Anything is Possible / museum education activity
Exhibition "We Believe in Life before Death" - Irokéz Collection
Attila Szűcs' painting reveals a mysterious world. At first glance a romantic garden appears before us. We don't know if this garden is real or dreamlike. Is what we see, what we perceive with our senses, the Reality or just the surface? Are we also talking about what the garden means to us? What experiences do we have of it and what does it symbolise in our lives? And in the creative part of the session we will apply the same techniques used by the artist. Let's try to create such a mysterious world by re-colouring a photo, prepared for the possibility that anything is possible, because we don't know or see what the result of our work will be.

Location:
House of Arts Veszprém / Dubniczay Palace
29 Vár Street, Veszprém
Recommended age: 12 years and older

Planned duration of the sessions: 1 ½ hours (approx. ½ hour of discussion, 1 hour of creation)

The Garden of my Dreams / museum educational activity

In Attila Szűcs' large oil painting, a romantic garden appears before us at first glance. We will talk in the first part of the session. What kind of garden is this? What feelings and thoughts come to mind when looking at the picture? What are our experiences of gardens? What kind of gardens do we know and what kind of gardens have we seen in poems, stories, folk songs or even in the Bible? Based on the picture and the discussion we will easily create the garden of our dreams in the second part of the session.

House of Arts Veszprém / Dubniczay Palace
